Finally Linkchoose starts to get its own web site. Its a bad case of Doctor's children, we just never got around to it before.
Broadband Pricing
Broadband pricing is as follows. It consists of three parts, the basic installtion, the monthly fee, and and extras you may request.
Installation
Installation costs £100, unless there is something really bizaar about what needs to be done. This covers consumables (like cabling etc) and installation.
It does NOT cover the equipment, which you are provided with as part of the service and remains the property of Linkchoose Ltd. We will do any maintenance on the installation for free during the life of the contract, provided the damage to the equipment is not caused by you or something that would reasonably be covered by your property insurance - so if the building it is mounted on burns down we expect you to claim for the equipment when you make your claim to rebuild the building.
Monthly Rental
Monthly rental for the service is £15 for the first static IP address, and an extra £5 for each additional static address. You automatically get one static IP address, but you can request more.
Currently we do not charge for email addresses, but we intend to start charging at the rate of £1 per month. If you require very large amounts of email storage space we may need to charge you for that as well.
Extras
These are difficult to predict, but can include things like a wireless router. The normal installation is for a single machine with a wired connection to our equipment.
Termination
Either of us can terminate the contract. You can terminate any month which has not yet started simply by letting us know (by email or in writing) that you wish to terminate the contract - but it must be for a month that has not started and we do not refund part months. You can not terminate the contract during the period of the initial bill (see below).
We may have to terminate the contract if circumstances force it. For instance our base stations are typically on third party buildings, and if one of those became unavailable to us (if it changed ownership and the new owner decided they did not want it on their building) or it if were destroyed and could not be replaced. There can also be problems between our base station and you, if for instance a tree on a third party's land grows up and obscures the line of sight. If we can not reposition the unit at your end to provide a clear line of sight we may not be able to continue to provide you with a service.
Billing
We send out bills monthly by email, as PDF files. If you require paper versions you can print them from the PDF.
Your first bill will be for the installation plus the first two months rental. This is so that from then on we are always billing you monthly in advance, giving you the option of terminating the contract as described above.
All prices given above are exclusive of VAT which will be added at the current standard rate (15% at the time of writing this page).
Payment
We do NOT accept cheques or cash as payment, only electronic payments. This is to keep administration costs down. You should set up a Standing Order when you get the first bill which gives you all our bank details and by tells you the monthly periods and their start dates.
